Forklift Tires

The Evolution Wheel forklift tires were designed to meet the needs of today's job site demands. We came up with a way to offer you serviceability, traction, and maximum stability all in one!

How many pneumatic or foam-filled all-terrain forklift tires have you had to change on your job site because of damage or sidewall gashes? With health and safety being as important as it is today a serviceable option was needed. Our team of engineers developed our EWRS-RTF series of forklift tires to be easily repaired if damaged, although we are not sure you will need to with the quality that went into our design and components.

With serviceable tire sections of our forklift tires, the need for a service truck and specialized technicians is all but eliminated. We have reduced your service tooling down to only a 15/16" wrench in your operator's back pocket and repair parts are readily available in your nearest onsite storage container or the toolbox of your pickup.

Our forklift tires work under a variety of conditions but one thing remains the same, safety is paramount. For this reason, we designed our EWRS series with maximum stability and load-bearing capacity. A combination of our specially engineered core hole design and bidirectional tread pattern provides a very consistent and predictable loading profile.

All Terrain Forklift Tires

All-terrain forklifts handle some of the toughest jobs when it comes to hauling heavy loads through uneven terrain. The most common sites using all-terrain forklift tires often involve rough and even abrasive applications such as construction sites, lumber yards, building material supply companies, mines, and many other outdoor applications.

Unfortunately, all-terrain forklifts usually come with standard air-filled pneumatic all-terrain forklift tires, which are great for only limited types of terrain. Pneumatic all-terrain forklift tires easily and too often cause headaches and trouble for many all-terrain forklift operators. A few problems are known to happen, and they often lead back to the rear tires.

Problems with Rear Tires

Forklift tires, whether they're designed for concrete use or all types of applications, undergo a large amount of daily stress and strain. Because of this, pneumatic all-terrain forklift tires often find themselves undergoing unscheduled maintenance which leads to unnecessary added costs.

All-terrain forklifts operate with larger-sized front tires and smaller-diameter rear ones. These off-size all-terrain forklift tire sizes help with increasing maneuverability and controlling high-weight loads. But since the back tires handle stability and balance as well, they're put under more strain than we often realize. This is mainly because the rear tires are where the pivot and most of the moving occurs when turning directions. Pneumatic forklift tires are good for some types of terrain such as clean flat surfaces but for more varied, rugged, and abrasive terrain, they're more of a hindrance than a help.

Some of the issues we see with pneumatic all-terrain forklift tires are:

  • Frequent Flat Tires
  • Increased Tire Wear
  • Increased Tire Damage

Flat pneumatic forklift tires are not only caused by debris and sharp objects but can also occur because of air-pressure problems. Since both heat and cold temperatures cause air pressure to fluctuate, constant maintenance must be performed to ensure pneumatic forklift tires are running at optimum levels. This not only increases your overall maintenance costs and increases your number of flat tires needing repair or replacement, but even worse, it can result in serious accidents.

The specific types of applications that forklift tires operate in are situations such as lumber yards, building material supply, and mines. Take lumber yards and building material supply sites for instance; all-terrain forklift tires go from gravel to concrete and can find themselves driving over various debris and sharp objects. This not only makes them prone to frequent flats and tire damage but also a decrease in tire life from spinning and turning tires on concrete; you’re wasting time and money!

Pneumatic forklift tires -- the culprit!

Pneumatic all-terrain forklift tires are by far not damage-proof. Any exposure to sharp objects will cause chunking or puncture of the tire which can lead to repairs or replacements. All this causes an increase in costs and headaches for all-terrain forklift operators who have to stop their task at hand to deal with it before finishing their job.

The downtime in fixing or replacing pneumatic forklift tires leads to an increase in costs. Not only to job delays which can lead to fines for time-sensitive projects, but also an increase in costs from labor, fixing, and even replacement tire costs. Something no company wants to deal with. But, how can they remedy the situation to avoid tire problems in the future? Simple!!! Evolution Wheel forklift tires are an exceptional choice to reduce and even eliminate these issues. Our all-terrain forklift tires don’t experience any flats, have increased wear life, are less prone to damaging or chunking the tires, and significantly reduce your overall tire costs.

Forklift tires with serviceable tire sections-- the solution!!

The best way to avoid frequent flats and tire damage is to use forklift tires with serviceable tire sections instead of air pneumatic all-terrain forklift tires. This type of forklift tire is not only stronger, more durable, and more cost-effective than pneumatic all-terrain forklift tires but will last much longer too due to their construction. Plus, you'll still have the same maneuverability and smooth ride that pneumatic all-terrain forklift tires offer, so there's no compromising on work efficiency and ride comfort.

With serviceable tire sections, the need for a service truck, specialized technicians, and press-on machines is eliminated. We have reduced your service tooling down to only a 3/4" wrench in your operator's back pocket and repair parts are readily available at your nearest onsite storage container or in the toolbox of your pickup.

What about the front forklift tires?

To lengthen the time between maintenance days, consider using our forklift tires on the front tires as well. Our forklift tires are designed to handle heavy weight loads easier than pneumatic all-terrain forklift tires and won't cause a blowout from sharp objects on the job site. Material handling continues uninterrupted, and the job gets done when it's supposed to. For rugged applications, replace your pneumatic all-terrain forklift tires with airless forklift tires. Not only are they a higher-quality material, but they will save you money down the line with fewer tire replacements draining your budget.
