Why Use the EWRS-PIVOT Airless Center Pivot Irrigation Tire Over a Pneumatic

Three Reasons

No Flat Tires

One of the most common reasons for downtime on a center pivot Irrigation system is flat tires. Filling with mud and water, causing stoppages and increased wear on the gearboxes, means taking the time to go replace the tire and repair the damage it caused. Flat tires out in the field are a headache. That’s where EWRS-PIVOT, an airless pivot tire, is beneficial. Airless center pivot irrigation tires are no flat pivot tires. No flats mean no punctures or sidewall damage, fewer repairs, less downtime for the system, and higher efficiency overall. Saving you money.

Reliability

Like all our products the EWRS-PIVOT is designed to be highly durable. They WILL last at least 5 years out in the field. The tire is divided into segments that connect to the rim with bolts meaning that when it does come time to replace the tire, it is as simple as replacing the segments on the rim. No need to bring them to a tire shop and are always serviceable right in the field, minimizing downtime as well. This along with the integrated UV protection to combat rubber degradation is the reason the EWRS-PIVOT irrigation tires last so long without issue in the field.

Pneumatic pivot tires have a convex design that pushes mud outwards and holds onto mud which results in rutting and traction loss. Our tread design does the opposite. We designed the EWRS-PIVOT irrigation tires with a wide footprint, bi-directional tread, and a concave profile. the wide footprint distributes the weight out evenly, the bi-directional tread doesn’t hold onto the mud and the concave profile keeps the soil underneath the tire instead of pushing it out. This is the best way to prevent rutting in the field which causes countless problems for farmers.

Cost-Effective

The cost-effectiveness of the EWRS-PIVOT center pivot tires is much better than using regular pneumatic pivot tires. Though the EWRS-PIVOT has a higher upfront cost, superior quality, low maintenance time, and reliability, it’s much cheaper to run than using pneumatic pivot tires. Pneumatic tires go flat, cause gearbox damage, and the downtime costs time, money and affects overall crop yield. Plus, no one wants to be dragging flat tires full of mud and water through their crop!

EWRS-PIVOT SERIES

The EWRS-PIVOT series of airless pivot tires from Evolution Wheel offers the most advanced airless technology to the irrigation market. This solution delivers serviceability, traction, and floatation into one impressive offering.

Our tread design and tire profile offer greater traction through mud and obstacles. The unique concave contact face helps eliminate rutting by keeping dirt under the tire, where it belongs. The face of the tire is pointed inwards. Compared to typical pneumatic irrigation tires which convex shape push mud out from under the tire, causing ruts.

Our proprietary segmented design bolts onto our high strength wheel, allowing you the ability to service the tire quickly, eliminating the need to change a tire in the field.

Unlike other airless pivot tires, the EWRS-PIVOT compresses flat pushing material out, it's a self-cleaning system. The compressed cores elongate the footprint of the tire allowing it to wrap over obstacles increasing traction and reducing ground pressure.
