Best Airless Tire for a Lindsay 9500L lateral irrigation system
Why should you use the EWRS-PIVOT airless irrigation tire on your Lindsay 9500L lateral irrigation system? There are actually 5 reasons. We at Evolution Wheel wanted to design a pivot tire that will solve all the problems farmers encounter with their irrigation tires, so we did.
5 Reasons Why You Should use an EWRS-PIVOT Airless Pivot Tire
- No Flats
- Increased Traction
- Increased Floatation
- Serviceability
- Cost-Effective
No Flats
One of the biggest reasons for downtime on a field sprinkler irrigation system is replacing flat tires. Filling with mud and water, causing stoppages and increased wear on the gearboxes, then having to take the time to go in and replace the tire and repair the damage it caused. Flat tires out in the field are a headache. That’s where EWRS-PIVOT, an airless irrigation tire, is beneficial. Airless irrigation tires are no-flat irrigation tires. No flats mean no punctures or sidewall damage, fewer repairs, less downtime for the system, and higher efficiency overall, saving you money.
Increased Flotation That Prevents Ruts
Floatation is important for preventing deep rutting. The EWRS-PIVOT tackles this problem with its bi-directional, also known as non-directional, tread design along with its concave profile. The concave profile keeps mud under the tire teamed with the bi-directional tread, increasing floatation like no other tire. On top of that, the EWRS-PIVOT has a true-to-spec wide 14.9 x 24 profile that increases the contact area with the ground.
Increased Traction
Many airless irrigation tires don't have great traction due to them being inflexible. Flexibility in a tire allows it to wrap around obstacles instead of slipping. The EWRS-PIVOT is designed to flex similar to a pneumatic tire through the use of its core geometry.
The core geometry refers to the apertures in the rubber segments that compress are designed to compress completely when pressure is applied. This compression also allows the tire to be self-cleaning by pushing all the material that is inside out.
Serviceability
The EWRS-PIVOT is made with rubber segments that bolt onto the high-strength steel rim. With a rim that will last decades all you need to do when the rubber wears out is purchase a new set of rubber segments, then replace them right in the field with only a wrench.
With that being said, the EWRS-PIVOT is built with UV protection and will last 2-3 times the lifespan of a premium pneumatic pivot tire.
Cost-Effective
When you sum up the added expenses of flat tires, gearbox damage, labor, and downtime costs, pneumatic tires get expensive. When using the EWRS-PIVOT airless irrigation tire, you don’t have to worry about all the extra maintenance and costs associated with it. Providing you with a cost-effective tire solution for your Lindsay 9500L lateral irrigation system.
