 Why a Smooth Ride is Important for Milling?

A smooth ride free of jerking and bucking is very important when operating a milling attachment on a skid steer. It causes operator fatigue, causes unnecessary wear on the machine, and can even affect the quality of work done. Using tires that are specifically designed for hard surface applications means that you limit the amount of jerking and bucking while also using tires that are engineered for longevity in these applications.

A PERFECT ROLLING CIRCLE

The EWRS-HS is also a perfect rolling circle. This creates an extremely smooth ride for the operator limiting driver fatigue. The core geometry also allows the tire to compress similar to a pneumatic while the void space in the tread together provides superior traction. 

We designed the unique tread pattern this way with asphalt milling in mind. Using the wrong tires in these types of applications can leave waves on the asphalt as the tire is cutting. The EWRS-HS is specifically designed to not leave waves when operating an asphalt milling head on your skid steer.

To make the new EWRS-HS product series meet the Evolution Wheel standard we gave it the most tread depth of any hard surface tire on the market. By maintaining a 52/32nd tread depth, Evolution Wheel is raising the bar in hard surface applications.

We have reduced your service tooling down to only a 3/4" wrench in your operator's back pocket and repair parts are readily available at your nearest onsite storage container or in the toolbox of your pickup.
