EWRS-PIVOT - Minimize Irrigation Stoppages and Downtime

Causes of Downtime for Center Pivot Irrigation

Downtime for a Center Pivot Irrigation system costs money. The time you lose can affect crop yield, not to mention labor and expenses to fix whatever the problem may be.

Two highly common problems with Center Pivot irrigation systems are flat tires and rutting. These problems can easily be avoided when using the correct equipment, the EWRS-PIVOT airless irrigation tire.

How the EWRS-PIVOT Airless Irrigation Tire Solves These Problems

The EWRS-PIVOT is an airless tire. A common concern we hear is that airless pivot tires work the gearbox harder than a pneumatic pivot tire would, but this is not always true.

Instead of air, the EWRS-PIVOT uses what are called cores. Cores are open areas of space within the tire that allow the rubber to flex and absorb impact like a pneumatic tire without the risk of a flat. A flat pneumatic pivot tire can fill with mud and water which can cause gearbox damage as well damage to the rim costing money every step of the way. This increases downtime for the center pivot system until the tire is replaced and everything is fixed. The EWRS-PIVOT irrigation pivot tires eliminate this cost.

Durability

Like our other products, the EWRS-PIVOT is designed to be highly durable. They will last at least 5 years out in the field. The tire is divided into segments that connect to the rim with bolts meaning that when it does come time to replace the tire, it is as simple as replacing the segments on the rim. No need to bring them to a tire shop and are always serviceable right in the field, minimizing downtime as well. This along with the integrated UV protection to combat rubber degradation is the reason the EWRS-PIVOT irrigation tires last so long without issue in the field.

EWRS-PIVOT SERIES

The EWRS-PIVOT series of airless pivot tires from Evolution Wheel offers the most advanced airless technology to the irrigation market. This solution delivers serviceability, traction, and floatation into one impressive offering.

Our tread design and tire profile offer greater traction through mud and obstacles. The unique concave contact face helps eliminate rutting by keeping dirt under the tire, where it belongs. The face of the tire is pointed inwards. Compared to typical pneumatic irrigation tires which convex shape push mud out from under the tire, causing ruts.

Our proprietary segmented design bolts onto our high strength wheel, allowing you the ability to service the tire quickly, eliminating the need to change a tire in the field.

Unlike other airless pivot tires, the EWRS-PIVOT compresses flat pushing material out, it's a self-cleaning system. The compressed cores elongate the footprint of the tire allowing it to wrap over obstacles increasing traction and reducing ground pressure.
