Skid Steer Tires for Earth Moving

Skid steers have fixed wheel orientation and separate side-wheel synchronization, allowing the machine to 'skid' as it turns, effectively pivoting the machine on the spot. This helps the machine operate in tight spaces and be one of the most versatile machines on a job site. When it comes to moving earth, this is a huge advantage.

Traction

One of the most important things for a skid steer to have is traction which comes from the tires. A lack of traction can affect efficiency and can even get the machine stuck in certain situations. The EWRS-AT series solid skid steer tire is designed to maximize traction. The tire is built with the largest lugs in the industry at 52/32” deep and 2.5” wide. This helps the tire dig without slipping.

The next aspect of traction comes from the core geometry designed in rubber. Solid tires often have the problem of inflexibility. When a is inflexible it slips on obstacles instead of wrapping around them as a pneumatic tire would. The EWRS-AT core geometry is designed to flex around obstacles and won’t slip.

When working in muddy conditions that often occur when moving earth, traction is important. Combining the large lugs and the flexibility from the core geometry allows the EWRS-AT tire to have the best traction in the game.
