The Best Airless Pivot Tire for a TL Pivot System

Why should you use the EWRS-PIVOT airless irrigation tire on your TL pivot system? There are actually 5 reasons. We at Evolution Wheel wanted to design a pivot tire that will solve all the problems farmers encounter with their irrigation tires, so we did.

5 Reasons Why You Should use an EWRS-PIVOT Airless Pivot Tire

  • No Flats
  • Increased Traction
  • Increased Floatation
  • Serviceability
  • Cost-Effective

No Flats

The EWRS-PIVOT airless irrigation tire is a no flat tire. Flat tires in the field are a headache. If they are not caught early enough, a flat will damage the tire beyond repair which may even cause damage to the gearbox or other components of the tower. The downtime that flat tires cause, affects irrigation efficiency and takes employees from other tasks to get the system back up and running. Using the EWRS-PIVOT irrigation tire, you will never have to replace flat tires in the field ever again.

Increased Flotation

Deep ruts are a huge problem for many irrigation farmers. Irrigation tires often have very poor floatation. the issue is that most have a convex profile with a directional tread pattern that pushes mud out from under the tire and it travels.

The EWRS-PIVOT has a bi-directional tread pattern with a concave profile that is designed to hold mud underneath the tire preventing deep ruts in the field.

Increased Traction

Poor traction can cause all sorts of problems for irrigation farmers. Pivot tires with poor tractions can get stuck, cause system damage and create unwanted downtime.

Airless tires are often thought of as having poor traction. This is due to their inflexibility. flexibility in a tire is necessary for traction as it allows the tire to wrap around objects instead of slipping on them. The EWRS-PIVOT tire has unique core geometry incorporated into the rubber to allow them to flex like a pneumatic irrigation tire.

Serviceability

Serviceability in a tire is highly important. The EWRS-PIVOT is made with rubber segments that bolt onto the steel rim. If a segment is damaged, all you need to do is replace that specific segment which can be done with a 3/4" inch wrench.

The rubber has UV protection elements built into the rubber and will last 2-3 times longer than a pneumatic tire. So even though the tire is serviceable the tire is built to last.

Cost-Effective

When you sum up the added expenses of flat tires, gearbox damage, labor, and downtime costs, pneumatic tires get expensive. When using the EWRS-PIVOT airless irrigation tire, you don’t have to worry about all the extra maintenance and costs associated with it. Providing you with a cost-effective tire solution for your TL pivot system.

EWRS-PIVOT SERIES

The EWRS-PIVOT series of airless pivot tires from Evolution Wheel offers the most advanced airless technology to the irrigation market. This solution delivers serviceability, traction, and floatation into one impressive offering.

Our tread design and tire profile offer greater traction through mud and obstacles. The unique concave contact face helps eliminate rutting by keeping dirt under the tire, where it belongs. The face of the tire is pointed inwards. Compared to typical pneumatic irrigation tires which convex shape push mud out from under the tire, causing ruts.

Our proprietary segmented design bolts onto our high strength wheel, allowing you the ability to service the tire quickly, eliminating the need to change a tire in the field.

Unlike other airless pivot tires, the EWRS-PIVOT compresses flat pushing material out, it's a self-cleaning system. The compressed cores elongate the footprint of the tire allowing it to wrap over obstacles increasing traction and reducing ground pressure.
