The Best Airless Tire for a T and L Center Pivot System
Why should you use the EWRS-PIVOT airless irrigation tire on your T and L center pivot system? There are actually 5 reasons. We at Evolution Wheel wanted to design a pivot tire that will solve all the problems farmers encounter with their irrigation tires, so we did.
5 Reasons Why You Should use an EWRS-PIVOT Airless Pivot Tire
- No Flats
- Increased Traction
- Increased Floatation
- Serviceability
- Cost-Effective
No Flats
The EWRS-PIVOT airless irrigation tire is a no flat tire. Flat tires in the field are a headache. If they are not caught early enough, a flat will damage the tire beyond repair which may even cause damage to the gearbox or other components of the tower. The downtime that flat tires cause, affects irrigation efficiency and takes employees from other tasks to get the system back up and running. Using the EWRS-PIVOT irrigation tire, you will never have to replace flat tires in the field ever again.
Increased Flotation
To prevent deep ruts in the field, we built our tires with bi-directional tread and a concave profile. Our bi-directional tread is designed not to dig into the mud as it travels. Directional tread has angled lugs that push dirt from underneath the tire out as it travels along a path. Our tread does not.
Almost all irrigation tires have a convex profile where the center of the tire is taller and rounds out towards the edges. This pushes mud from underneath the tire similar to directional tread patterns. The EWRS-PIVOT has a concave profile where the edges of the tire are tall and slops into the middle. This design hold mud underneath the tire where it belongs.
Increased Traction
The poor traction is due to most airless irrigation tire options being inflexible. Flexibility in a tire allows it to wrap around obstacles instead of slipping on them. We use unique core geometry in our rubber that is designed to flex like a pneumatic tire providing better traction while also being flat-free.
Serviceability
The EWRS-PIVOT is a serviceable tire. The rubber on the tire is segmented and attached to the high-strength rim with 3/4" bolts. This allows the operator easily change segments if they get damaged. Simply take a 3/4" wrench, unbolt the damaged segment, and bolt on the new segment. It's as easy as that.
With that being said, the EWRS-PIVOT's rubber is made with A special rubber compound with UV protection so it will last in the harsh conditions of irrigation farming. The EWRS-PIVOT lasts 2-3 times longer than traditional premium pneumatic tires.
Cost-Effective
When you sum up the added expenses of flat tires, gearbox damage, labor, and downtime costs, pneumatic tires get expensive. When using the EWRS-PIVOT airless irrigation tire, you don’t have to worry about all the extra maintenance and costs associated with it. Providing you with a cost-effective tire solution for your TL irrigation system.
