EWRS-AT & EWRS-HS NON MARKING SERIES

The EWRS-AT-NM & EWRS-HS-NM series of non marking bobcat tires were designed to meet the needs of today's job site demands. We came up with a way to offer you serviceability, traction and a comfortable ride all in one!

The EWRS-AT-NM series of all terrain non marking bobcat tires are specifically designed for customers who need additional traction in mud, sand, and uneven terrain. The EWRS-HS-NM series of hard surface non marking bobcat tires master hard surfaces such as concrete, asphalt and general hard even surfaces.

With serviceable non marking bobcat tires sections, the need for a service truck and specialized technicians is all but eliminated. We have reduced your service tooling down to only a 3/4" wrench in your operator's back pocket and repair parts are readily available in your nearest onsite storage container or in the toolbox of your pickup.

We spared no expense in creating this product and weren't afraid to bring you the largest tread lugs in the industry for serious traction and a long wear life. By reducing the number of lugs on a skid steer tire, we were able to increase the width and height of each lug so we could get rid of the wear bars running through the centre of any other skid steer tire you're going to see on the market. This gave us two things: large voids in our tread pattern allowing for unmatched material clean out, and a long wear life on our bigger lug.

To make this product the total package, we topped it off by engineering a smooth ride into our design. We worked hard to bring you a proprietary rubber compound that would allow enough compression to reduce operator fatigue and stand up to heavy loads. Did we mention that the compound is also designed so that it won't stress crack? Only a premium compound would do for a premium product, that's the Evolution Wheel standard.

Your Guide to Non Marking Bobcat Tires

Having the right tools for the job is key to a successful business, and having the right bobcat tires falls right into place. When it comes to bobcat tires, you have two main options to choose from. (1) standard black bobcat tires or (2) non marking bobcat tires. This decision will largely be based on the type of applications your bobcat tires will be used in. Everyone is familiar with traditional black bobcat tires, but non marking bobcat tires are not as well known even though they can serve a precise and important application. Let's take a closer look at non marking bobcat tires

The Purpose of Non Marking Bobcat Tires

As their name suggests, the purpose of non marking bobcat tires is to ensure the tires don’t leave black marks on the surface they’re working on. In most cases, non marking bobcat tires are used in controlled indoor environments instead of being exposed to rugged terrain and harsh elements. These are useful in applications such as the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries which, by law, do not allow black marks on the floor of the facilities due to hygiene reasons. Non marking bobcat tires are also beneficial when working on sites that require non marking equipment in order to preserve the integrity and cleanliness appearance of the concrete. Particularly on light colored floors because it reduces the amount of time and money spent on removing unsightly black marks.

The composition of non marking bobcat tires

Due to the rubber ingredients, non marking bobcat tires are commonly lighter in color such as white or light gray, although they can be made in any color that the rubber compounder chooses. Standard bobcat tires and non marking bobcat tires differ in their physical make-up as well.  Non marking bobcat tires are comprised of a mixture of synthetic rubber and silica. The silica replaces the black carbon found in traditional black bobcat tires that is ultimately responsible for making the black marks.

Performance characteristics of non marking bobcat tires

The key characteristics of non marking skid steer tires include:

  • Good traction
  • Low rolling resistance
  • Low heat build-up
  • Non marking
  • Same performance as traditional skid steer tires
  • Have a slightly shorter life-span than traditional skid steer tires
  • Require the use of grounding straps because they don’t have anti-static properties of standard skid steer tires

Non marking bobcat tires vs standard bobcat tires

Let's take a look at the main differences between non marking bobcat tires and standard bobcat tires. Apart from the obvious that non marking bobcat tires don’t leave black marks, there are other notable differences. When it comes to price, non marking bobcat tires tend to be more expensive than traditional bobcat tires due to their more expensive ingredients.

Another difference is that standard bobcat tires have built-in UV protection properties that unfortunately non marking skid steer tires don’t have. Despite this, it’s not a significant issue because non marking bobcat tires are typically used for indoor applications. The good news is that antioxidants are included in the making of non marking bobcat tires that compensate for the lack of UV properties which help to increase its wear life.

Another significant difference between non marking bobcat tires and traditional black bobcat tires is the fact that carbon gives traditional bobcat tires anti-static properties. This means that non marking bobcat tires don’t eject static thus making them a hazard. Luckily this safety concern is easily fixed by using grounding strips.
